Laser Treatment Instructions

Pre-treatment:

Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and spray tans for 4-6 weeks prior to laser sessions, as clients with a tan will not be treated.

All methods of hair removal, except shaving, must be stopped 4-6 weeks prior to treatment to ensure hair is in follicle.  This includes waxing, sugaring, threading, tweezing.

The area(s) which you are having treated must be shaved thoroughly on the morning of your appointment.  Unless you are otherwise instructed not to shave beforehand, there will be a surcharge if the laser technician needs to shave you.

You may take Tylenol before your treatment session if you are concerned about possible pain.  Do not use topical anesthetics before your treatment unless discussed in advance with laser technician.

Should you need to cancel an appointment, please do so within 24 hours of your scheduled treatment, otherwise the $30 Cancellation Fee will apply.

Post-treatment:

Treated area(s) should not be shaved for at least three days following treatment.  All methods of hair removal, except shaving, must be stopped.

Avoid lotions, exfoliants, makeup, deodorant on the treated area(s) for at least 24 hours after your laser session as to avoid irritation.

Swimming, hot tubs, and sports should be avoided for the first few days after treatment as to avoid irritation.

Treated area(s) may show redness, bumps, slight swelling, and in some cases small blisters/laser bruises.  You must notify us if you experience the aforementioned issues so that it can be noted on your chart.  You may use Polysporin on the area(s) until side effects resolve.  You may also ice the area(s) for ten minutes every one to two hours.

If you experience any scabbing or crusting, DO NOT pick at the area(s).  DO NOT shave over the area(s).  Allow the skin to heal naturally; usually within a few days.  You may use Polysporin.  If there is an indication of infection, see a Physician.

Do not expose area(s) of treatment to the sun, tanning beds, or spray tanning after treatment.

Treated hairs will exfoliate in approximately 2-3 weeks.

Attend your next Laser Hair Removal session within 6-8 weeks to ensure results.
